9WRC 2010 - Europe - Czech Republic or Ukraine

The IRF called for proposals to host 9WRC 2010 in May 2008. We have received proposals to host 9WRC 2010 from the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The successful host will be decided in October 2008.

Both proponents propose to hold the event in August 2010. More information will be available here in October 2008 and or on the IRF web site www.rogaining.com or .org.

Note that the IRF web site is currently under going refurbishment and will be updated soon. Promise!

The decision making body is the IRF via the Members, Observers and Executive.

Of course input from any interested rogainer would be respected and appreciated.

It is to be dicussed at the IRF Forum to be held the evening before 8WRC.

Otherwise consider it early notice for those most likely to attend a WRC.

PS Sorry for the delayed response this is the first time I have looked at this since posting the original message.

What about Ireland? Setanta Orenteers have organised the exceptional Setanta 24 h Rogaine for 11 times already.

We would definitely welcome an Irish response to the previous message. However, the reality is that while all IRF members and observers were informed about the possibility to apply for hosting the WRC, by the extended deadline only the two countries referred to above submitted their Expression of Interest.
