2008-08-29 | There are electric fences around many grass fields, in particular in the northern part of the terrain. The electric fences are not mapped! Some of these fences have power turned on, if the field is currently used for cattle grazing. Some other fences have power turned off, if the field is not currently in active use. Often you cannot tell, whether the power is on or off. You should treat all electric fences as power turned on.
Where the 'official' hiking track of the national park (these are marked with signs every now and then) crosses the electric fence, there will be a gate. We have recently updated the photo gallery and here is a photo of one of such gates: http://8wrc2008.rogain.ee/img/album1/photos/photo_23.html
In some other places, there are hand-opened gates, which look like this

and which you can open AND PLEASE CLOSE like this http://8wrc2008.rogain.ee/img/album1/photos/photo_25.html
However, in many other places there are no crossing points. The wires are about 50-70 centimeters from the ground. You should either step/jump over or crawl under the wire.
Best wishes,
